After nearly a half century since the great gold rush in the southern California mountains, there is still a story to be found in the early part of the last century. Finding the old roads and history was a great way to see the back county while riding in the new horseless carriages of the 20th century. Gold was discovered in the 1860's in Julian. The Model T was produced from 1909-1927.

In our high-tech world, sometimes you need to unplug from all the electronic noise that accumulates in our minds. Enter the garden where you can unplug from the matrix and restore your well-being. This water-wise garden uses contrasting textures and colors to create an oasis in your back yard or patio. The soothing grays play off of the striking reds; the palm fronds contrast with the succulent ground covers and the combinations provide the environment needed to bring you back to nature.
