Palms and Pines

Palms and pines are two features commonly seen together along our San Diego skyline, in our landscapes and private spaces. In this garden they also represent a prehistoric horticultural relationship, being some of the oldest of the tall plants living on our planet today. Walk the paths through the palms and pines mixed with trees from the magnolia family, oldest of the flowering plants. Many of our smaller shrubs and perennials, readily found throughout our region today, also bear this prehistoric lineage. But, come now, and walk along our garden paths and enjoy these surprises.
